Working with WERIX
How do I choose a sheet metal manufacturer in China?
WERIX Metal is a leading source factory in Dongguan, China with 11+ years experience, and 5,000+ clients in 30+ countries. We offer factory-direct pricing 30%+ lower than trading companies, with in-house die design and manufacturing.
What is a source factory for sheet metal fabrication?
A source factory means the manufacturer owns all equipment and operates its own facility — no middlemen, no outsourcing. WERIX Metal is a direct source factory with an in-house die workshop, and 3,000+ sqm production space. This means factory-direct pricing (30%+ lower than trading companies), direct quality control, and faster communication.
How much does custom sheet metal fabrication cost?
Costs depend on material, complexity, quantity, and surface finish. Source factory pricing from WERIX Metal is typically 30%+ lower than trading companies or marketplace platforms. What tolerances can WERIX Metal achieve?
Laser cutting: ±0.1mm. CNC bending: ±0.5°. Stamping: ±0.01mm with progressive dies. These tolerances are maintained across stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and copper alloys.
Does WERIX Metal design and build stamping dies in-house?
Yes. WERIX has a dedicated in-house die workshop that handles stamping die design, manufacturing, trial, and maintenance. This eliminates the need to coordinate with external die suppliers and ensures full quality control from die to finished part.
What is the minimum order quantity at WERIX?
We accept orders starting from 1 piece for prototyping. For mass production, MOQ depends on part complexity and process. Sheet metal has no tooling cost; stamping die cost is amortized over production volume.
Do you offer assembly services?
Yes. WERIX provides one-stop assembly including hardware insertion (PEM nuts, standoffs), TIG/MIG welding, gasket installation, wiring harness integration, and functional testing. One factory, single-source responsibility from cutting to assembled product.
What sheet metal thicknesses can you fabricate?
Fabrication covers 0.3 mm to 8.0 mm sheet. Fiber laser cutting runs 0.3-5.0 mm, press brake bending takes mild steel to 6 mm, and hot-rolled pickled plate goes to 8 mm for machine bases and thick mounting plates. Stamped parts run from 0.2 mm to 6.0 mm strip. Send the thickness and the tightest callout on the drawing and we will confirm the process. Compare the options in our materials library before you finalise the design.
Which finish should I specify for an outdoor enclosure?
Powder coating over hot-dip galvanized steel is the default for outdoor steel, because the zinc protects the sheared edges that coating cannot reach. If the housing has to be light, 5052 aluminium with a chromate conversion layer and a powder topcoat works. Tell us the environment — coastal, industrial or inland — rather than a colour, and the finish follows from that.
Do you supply sheet metal parts for data centers and AI server hardware?
Yes. WERIX builds GPU and 19-inch rack chassis, PDUs, liquid-cooling manifolds, UPS cabinets and cable management parts. These are typically made from 1.0-2.0 mm cold-rolled or galvanized steel, or 5052 aluminium where weight matters, with ±0.10 mm cut tolerance and powder coating or zinc plating.
What is the typical lead time for sheet metal fabrication?
Prototypes are usually ready in 3-7 business days and standard production in 7-15 business days, scaling with complexity and quantity. Laser cutting and CNC bending need no tooling, so a prototype can start the same day the drawing is approved. Use the sheet metal cost calculator to estimate price before you send the file.
Is WERIX Metal ISO 9001 certified?
Yes. WERIX Metal is certified to the ISO 9001 quality management standard, with incoming, in-process, final and pre-shipment inspection built into every order. Batch traceability runs from the raw coil to the packed part. Our in-house capabilities and die workshop keep quality control under one roof.
Can one factory take my part from prototype to mass production?
Yes - one factory covers the whole path, from a 1-piece prototype to 100,000+ stamped parts. The same engineering contact and the same four-stage inspection follow the project from first sample to recurring orders. Compare rapid prototyping, low-volume and mass production to see where your volume fits.
